Third day of ICE.. We are attempting to run our routes today January 18th 2017 (Petersburg, Colesburg, Holy Cross, Luxemburg and New Vienna) but if your road looks questionable we are not going to even try. The paved roads are good but the gravel roads and lanes are still pretty bad. Garbage trucks and ice do not mix!! If we cannot get to you today we will pick it up next week. Thank you for your understanding.
We are attempting to run our routes today January 17th 2017 (Dyersville, Greeley & Edgewood) but if your road looks questionable we are not going to even try. If we cannot get to you today we will pick it up next week. It isn’t worth the risk. Thank you for your understanding.
Attention Bi-County Disposal Customers*** Due to the weather, we are forced to CANCEL our trash pick up 01/16/17 in the Barrington Lakes subdivision, the rural Dubuque areas and the City of Bernard today. We waited to see if the roads would clear up but mother nature has other plans for us today.
We have decided not to reschedule this weeks pick up. We will however take extra trash next week, so please keep it inside until next Monday. We know that this will be an inconvenience and we sincerely apologize but we want to make sure our drivers are safe. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions please call 563-875-9076 or 866-525-4506!
WINTER WEATHER REMINDERS:
Trash Bags – White trash bags blend in with the snow. If you have a darker colored trash bag that you could use or a trash can that you can place your bag in, it will make it easier for our employees to see ensuring that your trash gets collected.
Access to Your Trash & Recycling – Please make sure there is a clear, safe path for our employees to access your trash and recycling.
Bad Weather – Trash and recycling may not be collected at the exact time that it usually is due to poor weather conditions. If the weather conditions are extreme we may even cancel the pick up. Check this page for notifications. We will also post it on the local news and radio stations.
Wet Items Freeze to Dumpsters – Exposed, wet items freeze to your dumpster in these cold winter temperatures. It makes it very difficult for our drivers to safely and efficiently empty your frozen dumpsters which may lead to waste remaining in your container after dumping. Please close your lids!
Thank you for working with us so we can effectively collect your trash and recycling while maintaining the safety of our employees.
